Some new work and another show!

semi abstract carrot still lifeNow that my Adirondack chair painting has sold, I felt I needed some larger work to complete my booth. This was the answer. I finished it right before the Park City show. This week I managed to take it in to be photographed. So here it is. Carrots Too-At the Market, 48×36 inches, oil on canvas.
I will be taking this painting with me to my next show in Bend Oregon, Aug 28th-30th. It will be my third show at Art in the High Desert and I feel honored to be going back. If you’re in the Bend Area, stop by booth #19 and say hi. It is in the park across the river from the Old Mill District shopping center. It’s a beautiful location. Check out the artist gallery to check out all the wonderful artists that will be showing this year.

Summer schedule is firming up

The last couple of weeks has been busy with art festival jury results coming in. My batting average is decent this year with five acceptances, one waitlist and three rejections. Two of those rejections I didn’t expect to get into, in all honesty, but I try to throw a couple Hail Mary’s each year. The other one I thought I had a chance but wasn’t expecting. I have one more result due in sometime early May. It’s a long process figuring out which shows work for me and which shows will think my work fits. This year I have a couple of new shows on the schedule, Anacortes Arts Festival and the Park City Kimball show. You can view my entire schedule here.

Art show schedule set (pretty much)

It was a good day yesterday.  I sold my first item on etsy, a small painting, I got 2 more art show acceptances and the weather is AMAZING! That’s it for my show notices other than the wait-lists I’m on. It’s such a relief to have that out of the way! Here’s my show schedule as it now stands. It could still change a bit but at least now I have a better idea what I need to do over the next month to prepare.banannas2
