New!

Artichoke Gallery

48×36 inches, oil on canvas, “Artichoke Gallery”. I recently finished this baby. It seemed to take forever! This picture prints decently but I’m having problems getting a good image for online. The colors are more vibrant in real life and some of the greens really should have more yellow in them, but I’m done for today. This should give you an idea…

This one will be traveling with me this summer… speaking of traveling, I’m almost done applying for my summer shows. Now it’s wait and see time.

By the way ;)…

This painting has been complete for some time but I finally had it photographed. So here it is “The Asparagus Seller”, 50×30 inches, oil on canvas, coming to an art fair near you :). Otherwise I’ve been working on a new large painting and preparing art fair applications for the 2017 summer season. Busy, busy!

FINALLY a new painting

My first painting of 2016 is complete! Red Onions-At the Market, 36×18, oil on gessobord. I felt the need to paint something “not green.” I guess this qualifies ;). I have a couple more waiting that I will work on between art show applications and paperwork.

Some new work and another show!

semi abstract carrot still lifeNow that my Adirondack chair painting has sold, I felt I needed some larger work to complete my booth. This was the answer. I finished it right before the Park City show. This week I managed to take it in to be photographed. So here it is. Carrots Too-At the Market, 48×36 inches, oil on canvas.
I will be taking this painting with me to my next show in Bend Oregon, Aug 28th-30th. It will be my third show at Art in the High Desert and I feel honored to be going back. If you’re in the Bend Area, stop by booth #19 and say hi. It is in the park across the river from the Old Mill District shopping center. It’s a beautiful location. Check out the artist gallery to check out all the wonderful artists that will be showing this year.

Dreaming of Summer

The Way Home, 16x16 oil on claybordSpring has come early this year in the Pacific Northwest. That has gotten me thinking of my cottage in Ontario Canada. Of course it’s something like -5 deg F over there so I can’t go, but I can paint it! This is my interpretation of one of the many martin houses that have been erected along the beach. This one borders a cottage path to the beach. Enjoy, and think of summer!

2015 painting number two…

pumpkins finalI finally got around to photographing this painting… I guess I’m on a bit of a squash kick. This next installment in my 2015 painting collection is of pumpkins. Mostly I’m trying to add some more non-green paintings in this 16×16 inch size. I’m a bit at a loss as to what to work on next. I want to do at least one more fruit or veggie this size and three more beach paintings this size. I’m thinking beach painting next since I have a couple laid out and ready to go. It will be about a month before this one makes it to my etsy page.
